Monitoring Investment Following mainstreaming of the HIV budgets, levels of investment will be closely monitored. Any evidence that less money is being spent on HIV services would be useful, including feedback on the impact on clinics, AIDS organisations, prevention work included.

Involving Service Users in designing services

Looking for ways to “skill up” the debate with people living with HIV, new ways of involving people, particularly at local level A project to create a new involvement training package for Primary Care Trusts.

Better support for people living with HIV

This is to look at all needs, not just health issues, for adults and for children. Again  skills development work being undertaken and work across Government departments. At last, a review of the AIDS Support Grant, which funds many local authority services for people with HIV, with the aim to minimise bureaucracy and ensure our needs are met.

Tackling stigma and discrimination

Continued support for the National AIDS Trust's prejudice campaign Reducing stigma and discrimination within the NHS and developing a more detailed plan across other Government departments.
