Welcome to KPS' Policies/Guidelines and Procedures.
The Policies and Guidelines listed on the adjacent buttons have been developed to ensure that our service users are assured of absolute Ã¢ÂÂQuality of Services' throughout our support and service network. Also, to ensure that KPS as a registered charity fulfils all the criteria necessary to function as laid down by KPS' Declaration of Trust Ã¢ÂÂGoverning Document' and the Charities Commission for England and Wales, and that KPS is recognised by other Statutory and Voluntary Agencies within the local community, as a well respected and leading light amongst the HIV/AIDS Self-Help Service Providers.
Our extensive Policy/Guidelines adjacent have been developed to serve the needs within KPS and are reviewed and updated annually (April). KPS staff, volunteers and service users are made aware of our important policies through training and induction in respect of those working for KPS. Service users are given a full range of polices such as; Confidentiality, Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Complaints and Vulnerable Adults within a 'Welcome Pack' when introduced to our service provision. Included within a Client and/or Staff?Volunteer ' Welcome Pack' individuals are also given a KPS Introduction Charter that they are asked to sign in confirmation of their understanding of our policies and procedures which is held on file.
Kernow Positive Support had our HIV Strategy for Social Care in Cornwall officially adopted in 2009 by Cornwall Council, including the establishment of an HIV, housing and community care policy here in Cornwall. These documents have been prepared in consultation with local NHS GUM clinics and the Department of Adult Social Care in Cornwall.
