The Freshfield Service is committed to people of all ages, who have concerns about their own drug use, or a friend or relative's. They work only in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and take great pride in learning from their customers and being a client-led service. They were established in 1984, principally for counselling, and we now provide a range of services, all confidential apart from the "Rapidly" young offenders service we provide in conjunction with the Cornwall Youth Offending Team. Anyone can seek help privately from their counselling or needle exchange services which are confidential and free-of-charge.
Freshfield's underlying ethos is that people should be provided with high quality professional help in a respectful manner which empowers them to make their own decisions. Freshfield's Work The Freshfield Service needle exchange scheme ' FRESH WORKS' has been running since 1989.
Fresh Works is non-judgemental and anonymous, which means you can pick the name you use with them. Lots of people use this scheme, it would help Freshfield's if you could stick to the same name each time you attend.
Freshfield's offer a good range of sterile equipment, disposal containers, citric acid, drugs literature and condoms, all free-of-charge.
You can help them and the environment by returning your used works in the containers provided for safe incineration.
